Annual Day Celebration 2024-25

The Annual Day Celebration on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary was celebrated at the school level in various schools of Banni Pachchham. Some of the performances were presented by the students from the activities carried out during the year. In which the students presented costumes, drama on Swami Vivekananda's childhood, song singing, Swami Vivekananda's thoughts and a mono acting. 30 schools of Banni Pachchham were participated in this program held at the school level.

Swami Vivekananda Chicago Speech Celebration

Swami Vivekananda Chicago Speech Celebration aimed at educating students about his inspiring journey to the World’s Parliament of Religions. Led by key speaker Mr. Srinandan Mukherjee, the session highlighted messages from the 1893 address—interfaith harmony, self-confidence, and service. Students reflected on the relevance of these teachings in today’s world, drawing inspiration to uphold values of unity, strength, and spiritual growth.

Science Fair

The Science Fair was organized by the Prabuddha Kutch team to promote science awareness across Banni, Pachchham (Khavda), Bhuj, and Lakhpat. A total of 42 schools with 104 students (41 girls and 63 boys) participated in the fair. The projects and models were presented under themes such as Environment, Health, Renewable Energy, and Rural Innovation.

The Mega Final was held at Mangal Mandir Primary School, Bhujodi, where there was strong participation from girl students in the Banni–Pachchham cluster.

In the competition, Nana Dinara 2 Primary School (Fazalvandh–Khavda) and Dhordo Primary School (Banni) jointly secured the 1st place, Khavda Girls School won the 2nd place, and Kotda Primary School (Khavda) stood 3rd.

Life Skill Workshop

This year, under the Life Skill Workshop, a special session has been organized on Bhoongas (traditional mud houses), for which the Banni-Pachchham region is well known. The session will demonstrate how Bhoongas can be constructed using traditional and age-old methods.

It will be conducted by an experienced and skilled expert from the field, providing students with practical knowledge as well as an understanding of the region’s rich cultural heritage. The session will also highlight Bharta Kam (traditional craft/art), Livelihood skills, and Weaving Art.

Each workshop encouraged creativity, cultural awareness, and self-reliance, and its importance as a sustainable livelihood for local communities. Students will learn about culture, creativity, and practical skills directly from experts of the region.

Environment Camp

Environment Camp was organized with the aim of creating awareness among students about the importance of ecological balance and sustainable living. Educators, the session emphasized key themes such as conservation of natural resources, waste management, and the role of individuals in protecting the planet. Students actively engaged in discussions and activities, reflecting on the urgency of environmental responsibility in today’s times, and drew inspiration to adopt eco-friendly habits, promote green practices,
and contribute to a healthier, sustainable future.

Ganeshji Murti Making was organized to inspire students towards eco-friendly creativity while honoring tradition. Students of Sister Nivedita Girl’s Hostel and Vivekananda Boys Hostel came together with devotion and artistry to craft sustainable Lord Ganesh idols. The session highlighted values of teamwork, creativity, and reverence for nature, while spreading the message of environmental responsibility. Students reflected on the importance of celebrating festivals with eco-consciousness, drawing inspiration to blend tradition with sustainability for a better future.

Music Workshop

A Music Workshop was organized by Prabudhha Kutch at the School of Banni , Pachchham (Khavda) and Bhuj, focusing on basic SARGAMA, Vocal practice, and Taal. Students were introduced to the fundamentals of Indian classical music through voice exercises, alankars, and simple compositions.

The Dholak was used to demonstrate rhythmic patterns of Taals such as Keharwa and Dadra (Hinch), while the Harmonium provided melodic support for sur practice. The workshop was conducted by Shri Kamleshbhai Goswami, who guided the students through practical demonstrations and interactive learning.

A total of 1,575 students from 14 schools actively participated in the workshop. The program generated great enthusiasm among learners, helping them gain confidence in singing while deepening their understanding of rhythm and melody.

Durga Puja Celebration 2025 at Sharda Niketan School was a spiritual and cultural experience that filled the atmosphere with devotion and joy. The celebration symbolized the victory of good over evil and the divine power of Maa Durga.

The day began with Deep Pragatya and Pushpanjali, as students and teachers offered prayers to the Goddess, invoking blessings of wisdom, strength, and positivity. This was followed by soulful bhajans, vibrant cultural performances, and traditional rituals, which created an aura of divinity and unity.

Students from all grades participated in making the celebration memorable, devotional, and inspiring for all.

Sports Day 2025

Prabuddha Kutch Sports Day 2025 was organized to promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and overall personality development among students. The event was successfully conducted across three zones—Banni, Pachchham (Khavda), and Lakhpat—with enthusiastic participation from schools and students.

A total of 36 schools and 655 students participated,
including 244 girls and 411 boys.

Zone-wise participation included:

  • Banni: 17 schools, 263 students

  • Pachchham (Khavda): 12 schools, 259 students

  • Lakhpat: 7 schools, 133 students

Students showcased their talents in events such as 100m race, long jump (girls), shot put, kabaddi, high jump (boys), and kho-kho.

The event was successfully organized through the dedicated efforts of school authorities, teachers, volunteers, and students, fostering discipline, unity, and holistic development.

Umang 2025

Umang provided students with an inspiring and vibrant platform to express their creativity, ideas, and values through a variety of engaging competitions. Activities encouraged students to think innovatively, connect with real-life inspirations, and showcase their talents with confidence. Through art, expression, and performance-based events, participants reflected themes of culture, nature, dedication, and nation-building. Umang is not only nurtured imagination and self-expression but also instilled a sense of respect for knowledge, hard work, and social responsibility, making the event a meaningful and memorable experience for all enthusiastic participants.

Prabuddh Kutch organized a one-day educational tour for students of Pannavari, Patgar, Adhiyang, Ghadiyado, Misariyado, and Redharvandh Primary Schools (Banni region).

For many students, it was their first time traveling outside their village, making the visit to Bhuj a memorable and enriching experience. The tour combined learning with enjoyment, giving students exposure to science, history, and culture.

Places visited: Regional Science Centre Bhuj, Prag Mahal, Kutch Museum, Aaina Mahal, and Rakshak Van.

The initiative helped broaden students’ horizons and
encouraged experiential learning.

Art & Craft Fair

Share the successful completion of our Art & Craft Fair at Prabuddha Kutch, where creativity met sustainability!

24 schools | 792 students came together to learn, create, and reflect on environmental responsibility.

Jal Sanjhi Art Workshops in 18 schools, guided by Foram Rajgor, beautifully highlighted water conservation through traditional art forms.

Multi-Craft Sessions in 6 schools explored clay craft, paper craft, drawing, painting, and best-out-of-waste activities—turning everyday materials into meaningful art.

These workshops encouraged young minds to think creatively while understanding the importance of eco-friendly practices and water conservation in Kutch’s unique landscape.

The Annual Day of Project Prabuddha Kutch was celebrated at Town Hall, Bhuj, along with National Youth Day,
marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from 688 students (317 girls and 371 boys) representing 42 schools across Banni, Pachchham, Lakhpat, and Bhuj. Through speeches, presentations, and enactments, students beautifully conveyed Swami Vivekananda’s message of courage, self-belief, and service.
The celebration reflected the vibrant spirit of youth and the vision of Project Prabuddha Kutch in nurturing responsible and value-driven citizens.

Satyagrah Saptah

Satyagrah Saptah was observed as a meaningful journey into the timeless values of truth, non-violence, discipline, and moral courage inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Through thoughtfully designed activities, students reflected on the power of honesty, self-control, and responsible action in everyday life.
The week included engaging discussions, storytelling sessions, role-plays, and value-based activities that encouraged students to practice empathy, integrity, and leadership. Each activity was aimed at nurturing strong character and a sense of social responsibility.
Satyagrah Saptah inspired young minds to embrace truth as a way of life and to become responsible, compassionate citizens of tomorrow.

Spiritual Science Workshop

The Spiritual Science Workshop offered students a unique opportunity to explore the deeper connection between scientific understanding and spiritual wisdom. Through interactive sessions, discussions, and practical insights, students discovered how values, mindfulness, and self-awareness complement scientific learning.
The workshop encouraged students to think beyond textbooks, fostering clarity of thought, inner discipline, and a balanced approach to life. It served as an inspiring platform to nurture both intellectual curiosity and spiritual growth.

Teachers Training Workshop

The Teachers Training Workshop under Prabuddha Kutch brought educators together for purposeful planning and professional growth. The session focused on designing the upcoming academic calendar and conducting the induction of teachers, aligning everyone with the project’s vision.

Teachers presented demo lectures, encouraging innovation and peer learning, followed by valuable feedback and follow-up discussions on ongoing activities. The workshop also revisited the core objectives of the project, with a strong emphasis on character building and holistic education.

Guided by the vision of moving “From Information to Realisation,” the workshop inspired educators to create meaningful and value-driven learning experiences.

Reading Competition

A Reading Competition was organized to improve reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. It covered 42 schools with 1342 students participating. Students demonstrated skills in pronunciation, expression, and gained confidence. Showing strong academic engagement.

Language Fair

The Language Workshop and Fair was a vibrant celebration of linguistic diversity, where students immersed themselves in the beauty of languages and the richness of cultural expression. Through thoughtful presentations and performances, they explored how language shapes identity and reflects the timeless heritage of the Kutch region.

Echoing with tradition and emotion, students presented soulful Geet (songs), beautifully capturing poetic depth and cultural essence.
Gujarati
With grace and expression, students showcased Kavita and Ghazal, reflecting the lyrical richness and literary elegance of the language.
Kutchi
Rooted in the soil of Kutch, students highlighted the charm of the local dialect, proudly celebrating indigenous identity and cultural pride.
The fair served as a meaningful platform for creativity, expression, and a deeper appreciation of the diverse linguistic heritage that unites us all.
